The Teflon lined hydrothermal autoclave comprises high-quality stainless steel (SS-316) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE); some researchers may call it by Teflon lined hydrothermal reactor. We manufacture the reactor setup from 10ml to 2000ml capacity. Generally, it uses to synthesize chemicals, nanoparticles, catalysts, and crystals at high temperatures. The hydrothermal or solvothermal reaction is carried out at high pressure; hence it also is known by a high-pressure reactor. It is resistant to corrosion, acidic solution, and stable at high temperature.
Generally, there are two types of Teflon lined autoclave: the threaded type and the flange type. We provide reactor setup from 10ml to 500ml in threaded type arrangement, whereas the flange type arrangement in 1 liter, 1.5 liters, and 2-liter capacity. The threaded type reactor has equipped with one bigger cap and one smaller cap, which is at the top. This arrangement provides better protection against high-pressure reactions. In the case of a flanged type setup, there are two flanges to support the vessel chamber. Theses flanges are properly tightened by using 6 tower bolts.
In the Teflon lined hydrothermal autoclave, the maximum operating temperature is 220 0C while the safe temperature is 200 0C. The inner Teflon vessel may deform if the operating temperature goes beyond 220 0C. Hence it is advisable to heat or cool the reactor at the rate of 5 0C/minute during a reaction and do not goes beyond the safe limit. It is designed and produced to maintain maximum pressure till 3 Mpa (30 Bar). It is better to fill the solution up to 90% of total capacity and use gloves while operating. The vessel should be clean properly before every reaction to avoid impurities.
