The inner vessel of a hydrothermal autoclave made up of polypropiolactone (PPL) is known as PPL Liner. It is mainly used to replace Teflon liner in case of high-temperature reactions. It is black in color. It is a chemically inert substance. Moreover, it does not react with any chemical involved in the hydrothermal or solvothermal reaction.
The PPL liner fits in the outer SS shell as per their volume, which is 25ml, 50ml, 100ml, 150ml, 250ml, and 500ml. The dimension of the liners alters as per their volume. It has a perfect size to adjust in the stainless steel reactor.
The maximum operating temperature of the PPL liners is approximately 280 ºC. It has a safe temperature of 260 ºC. If the temperature reaches beyond the safe temperature, i.e. around 300 ºC, it can cause deformation. It is much costlier compared to PTFE liner.
Hydrothermal Synthesis Autoclave with PPL Lining Polymerization reactor act as a high-pressure digestion tank. The reaction happens in a PPL coated reactor at a higher temperature, with a safe temperature of 260 ºCelsius (500 degrees Fahrenheit) and a maximum operating temperature of 280 ºCelsius (536 Fahrenheit).
This product is widely used in scientific laboratories, research and development labs, institutional organizations, and industry quality analysis centers. The refractory material is rapidly dissolved in a hydrothermal synthesis reactor using strong acid or strong base in a high temperature, high pressure, and airtight atmosphere.
• Max Operating Temperature - 280 ºC
• Safe Temperature - 260 ºC
• Maximum working pressure is 3 MPa (30 bar)
• Rate of heating and cooling: 5 ºC/min
• Quick and easy to use
• It is possible to alter it according to the researcher's needs.
It is helpful in the assimilation of heavy metals such as iron, copper, lead, zinc, calcium, cadmium, manganese, and mercury. Mostly useful where the high-temperature reactions are needed under solvothermal conditions.
