Description and Specification of Gas Sampling Bags

A gas sampling bag works to gather air samples. The apparatus captures powerful volatile organic chemicals - VOCs and inert gases. It is an excellent alternative to the canister bags and tubes for whole-air sampling. They are helpful for sampling volatile organic chemicals and permanent gases at part-per-billion (ppb) to part-per-million (ppm) levels. According to government rules, gas sampling is crucial for all companies. The sampling bag is significant since it makes gathering and transporting gas samples cheaper and more accessible than conventional methods. A bag is reliable for demonstrating gas stability at decreasing molecular weights. Conventional canisters are an essential choice for obtaining interior and outdoor air samples. We provide the valve in PP, Teflon, and SS material.

Types of gas sampling bags

Tedlar Bags: Made of PVF films, these bags are appropriate for most permanent gases. They come in sizes ranging from 0.5 liters to 100 liters. 5 to 100-piece pack sizes are available. We provide a large selection of Tedlar bags according to the customer's needs. Generally, we provide Tedlar bags in two patterns: a single valve Tedlar bag and another dual valve Tedlar bag. Kynar Bags: Kynar PVDF film is used to make the Kynar Bags. Researchers can use this bag for various inert gases because it is strong and environmentally friendly.

Fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) fluoropolymer gas and liquid sampling bags: The researchers also use an alternative to tedlar bags. The fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) fluoropolymer gas and liquid sample bags (Teflon Gas Sampling Bag) are the finest substitutes. Like Tedlar bags, they don't produce any quantities of phenol or dimethylacetamide (DMAC). However, we do not advise it for permanent gases, hydrogen sulfide, acetates, or ketones.

Multi-Layer Foil Sampling Bags: These bags offer good stability for gases with lower molecular weight. For gases like methane, CO, CO2, and permanent gases, researchers can employ them. Our website offers these in packs of 10, 25, 50, and 100 pieces.

Properties of Gas Sampling Bags

∙ The gas sample bags we offer are impermeable to leaks. As a result, the gas cannot leak through it without causing harm.

∙ It is long-lasting and doesn't contaminate the samples that clients collect (up to 72 hours).

∙ The sample bags for gas are convenient to use.

∙ If the clients adhere to the safety precautions, it is simple to transport and prevents any outside environment from affecting the samples.

∙ They can withstand and function at temperatures up to 82 °C (180 °F).

Applications of Gas Sampling Bags

It is helpful if researchers need to gather data on the CO2 emission from the power generation industry, such as power plants, and to maintain control of air pollution. Industrial hygiene, landfills, and biogas are further applications. Researchers can analyze stationary sources, ambient air, and indoor air product.

How to Use Gas Sampling Bags?

Start by locating the gas-sampling bag's nozzle and securing it to the port where the gas/air samples will be emitted. Another option for gathering the gas/air samples is for the researcher to use a portable sampling pump. After the bag is attached, open the PTFE valve, fill the bag to only 80% capacity, and then shut it. Only detach the bag once the bag's valve is securely closed.

Safety Measures

∙ Before utilizing the gas sample bags, store them in a clean and tight box to prevent any absorption of foreign contaminants. For improved test results, clean the bags with nitrogen before sampling.

∙ Fill the bag between 50% and 80% of its capacity to maintain the ideal temperature and reduce the chance that it will burst. To prevent any inconvenience from an unintentional leak or bag burst, we suggest the clients take two samples of the gases.

∙ Since the gas sampling bags may absorb the contents of earlier samples, we encourage the researchers to refrain from using them again. Aim to provide the samples to the testing facilities within 48–72 hours (hold time). Keep the samples out of the sun's direct rays and extremely hot weather. Use pressurized, opaque containers to ship the bags by air if the researcher needs to do so without causing any damage.
