A Graphene conductive sheet is a single layer of Graphene (an allotrope of carbon) or, in other words, a one-atom-thick sheet of Graphene. It has a 2-dimensional hexagonal honeycomb-like structure. It is one of the thinnest and finest materials on the earth. It has sp2 hybridization exhibiting carbon-to-carbon bonds making the product sustainable and reliable for vivid applications.
It is a two-dimensional but single layer of carbon allotrope. When multiple layers of Graphene are stacked together, graphite has been obtained. The atomic structure of graphite and that of Graphene conductive sheets is the same. Since it is not in powder form, instead it is a thin film; there are more chances that it may suffer damages.
There are various methods to obtain the product, such as chemical vapor deposition (CVD), thermal exfoliation, chemical exfoliation, scotch tape, vacuum thermal annealing, direct ultrasound sonication, Graphene oxide reduction, micromechanical cleavage, and many more. At Shilpa enterprises, since we produce the product in bulk quantity, we use the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method, as it is one of the best methods to obtain the product. In addition to this, there are a few additives that use to produce the compound. NaCl is one of the essential ingredients in the process of synthesizing the Graphene conductive sheet. Often the product is 98% pure since some filler can help improve the properties of the product.
While imbibing the properties such as electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, strength, flexibility, ductility, and stability, the physical properties of Graphene conductive sheet is remarkable for the researchers.
• The thermal conductivity of the product reaches above 550 W/mK. That is exceptional for a product that has a thickness of 35 micrometers.
• The density of the product is 1 to 8 grams per cm3
• The tensile strength of the product is about 28MPa
• The specific surface area of the product reaches 2450 m2/G
• The electrical conductivity of the product is about 3650 S/cm
• The color of the product is greyish black with a solid form factor.
• It has a carbon content of approximately 98%.
• Even though it has remarkable qualities, the product is extremely lightweight and easy to use.
Graphene conductive sheet has numerous applications in various fields. It helps make biosensors as it exhibits exceptional and unique transparency. On placing the Graphene conductive sheet into an aqueous solution, the product turns into liquid crystal droplets. That makes it useful in target drug delivery in DNA sequencing. The Graphene sheet acts as a barrier between the metal and the corrosion casing agent in the atmosphere. Thus, it is valuable in making waterproof transistors, receptors, and various other waterproof gadgets. It is helpful in the textile industry to make water-resistant clothing.
Moreover, it is beneficial in making defense equipment such as aircraft, ships, and body armors. The product is also valuable for making transparent conducting electrodes. It helps in making the gadgets attractive. Another important application of the product is water filtration. The structure of the product helps in collecting impurities while the water droplets quickly pass through it. Since the product is thin and has exceptional properties, it is helpful in many electronic gadgets such as OLED, touchscreen panels. Additionally, it is used in radio-frequency identification tags (RFID) tags, printed circuit boards, and wearable electronic devices such as smartwatches, ear pods, batteries, and many more.
• The product is available in a pack of 1piece, five pieces, and 20 pieces.
• It is fragile; therefore, researchers should handle it with care.
• Store it at a temperature approximately 25 degrees Celsius and in a clean area unreachable from laymen's reach.
Graphene in the form of powder can be hazardous. However, when it comes to Graphene sheets, it is one of the safest products to use. It is an inert and stable composite and therefore does not result in any hazard. There are chances that on the occurrence of any damage, the sheet might release some nanoparticles. If these enter your respiratory tract, it might cause unnecessary complications. Since the matter is inert, if it enters the lungs, removing it is not possible. However, we advise the researchers to follow the basic laboratory safety practices such as
• Wear a PPE kit
• Use masks
• Use gloves while handling the product
• Use face shields
• Wear safety goggles.
