Specifications and Details of Kynar Bag

These bags manufactured by using polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) film.

These bags manufactured by using polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) film. The commercial name PVDF is Kynar; hence, these bags are also known as a Kynar bag worldwide. It is robust, sturdy, and has excellent resistance to chemicals like acids, bases, halogenated solvent, hydrocarbons, alcohols, salts, etc. These bags are also resistant to UV radiations, moisture, and Heat. The maximum operating temperate is 73-degree Celsius.

The Kynar gas sampling bags come in a variety of sizes ranges from 500ml to 10 liters. It can be customized up to 1000 liter capacity. The thickness of the PVDF film is 3mil or 0.0762mm. The dimensions of the bags vary as per their allocated capacity. It is heat-sealed adequately from all four sides to prevent leakage. Generally, the Polypropylene (PP) valve used in the Kynar bag, but customization can be possible as per client requirement. It is 2 in 1 combo valve with 7mm hose for sample inlet.

      How to Use Kynar Bag?

      • Check for punctures, loose fittings, cracks, or damaged valves.
      • The bag should be clean and completely dry before the sample is collected.
      • Use the correct tubing and connectors compatible with the sampling valve.
      • Avoid touching the inside of the bag or fittings to prevent contamination.
      • Purge the bag with an inert gas or the sample gas, as required by the sampling procedure.
      • Fill the bag slowly to avoid excess pressure buildup.
      • As the bag expands after filling, leave some space and do not overfill it.
      • The valve should be closed properly after sample collection to avoid leakage.
      • Label the bag clearly with sample type, date, time, and location.
      • Keep the filled bag away from direct sunlight and excessive heat during storage and transport.
      • Transport the bag carefully to avoid crushing or pressure damage.
      • Use the collected sample within the recommended holding time for accurate results.
      • Empty and clean the bag properly after use if it is intended for reuse. Follow laboratory or industrial sampling protocols during handling and testing.

Safety Measures for Handling Kynar Sampling Bags

      • Suitable personal protective equipment, such as gloves and safety glasses, should be worn during sampling.
      • Work in a well-ventilated area when collecting hazardous or toxic gases.
      • Keep the bag away from sharp objects and rough surfaces to prevent damage.
      • Do not use the bag for chemicals that are not compatible with its material.
      • Always stay within the bag's recommended pressure and temperature limits.
      • Keep the bag away from flames, excessive heat, and pointed objects.
      • Secure all fittings and connections properly to prevent gas leakage. Sample gases should not be inhaled directly from the bag.
      • Keep sampling bags away from food, drinking water, and personal items.
      • Wash your hands after handling chemical samples or contaminated bags.
      • Isolate the area in case of a leak and follow the emergency response procedure for the sampled gas.
      • Dispose of contaminated or damaged bags according to safety and environmental regulations.
      • Store unused bags in a clean, dry place away from chemicals and sunlight.
